Hermitages Hickory High School class of 1987 invited to reunion

Three full decades ago, Hermitage’s Hickory High School saw members of the class of 1987 receive their diplomas, and these former students have been invited to come together once again.

The reunion, which will be taking place in both Cannon’s Chop House and Avalon Golf and Country Club, will include two evenings of activities, and all students who graduated in 1987 are welcome.

The first evening will be dedicated to an Ice Breaker, where friends will have a chance to reconnect. The fun is set to start at 7:00 pm, and will keep on going as late as the guests wish to stay. The next day will include a cocktail hour and buffet dinner, which will be followed by dancing to tunes supplied by a DJ service. Dress for the event is business casual.

Along with the food, drinks and fun, an event split raffle will be held. Blocks of rooms for any out of town guests have been reserved at both the Red Roof Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Tickets for the function are being sold for $40 each. A local banner printing company will be able to provide decorations and other items for this type of occasion.

The Ice Breaker has been planned for May 26, with the dinner and dance to be held the following evening. More information can be found on the online listing for the occasion.
