An initiative has been put in place to help Hermitage retailers and other businesses overcome the challenges of COVID-19.
The holiday shopping season is underway, and in an effort to encourage people to shop local, members of the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce will be participating in the Shenango Valley Shop Around. It has been organized by Greater Sharon Associates, and all area communities are invited on board.
Any small business that would like to get involved is welcome, and to take part, and all they need to do is offer a giveaway of Corporate Gifts or other items. Once they have registered, they will be included in an assortment of marketing activities such as email blasts and social media campaigns. The plan is to give away at least $10,000 in premiums, and it is hoped this will draw in shoppers from a wide area.
Along with the giveaways, the participating retailers are encouraged to decorate their establishment in a festive and welcoming way. Kraynak’s is offering a special discount to any business that purchases holiday decor and mentions the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce.
This celebration of the area’s retail community began last weekend and it will continue until December 23. Companies looking for more information or interested in getting involved are asked to visit the Chamber’s website.
