Hermitage asked to support area food pantry fundraiser

An upcoming event will make sure everyone in Hermitage has a chance to get in on the bounty this harvest season.

The organizers of Empty Bowls Mercer County have teamed up with local artisans and students to bring this popular fundraiser back for another year. It will raise money that will be passed along to area food pantries and other feeding programs, all while raising awareness of the issue of food poverty.

Potters and other crafters will be preparing bowls for the event, and each will have a unique design. Members of the public who purchase a ticket for the event will be served a meal of bread and a hearty soup, and will be able to take their bowl home with them as a reminder to do a good turn for other. Entertainment, raffles, and an even-split draw are all on the agenda, and there will even be a pottery-making demo.

This sort of event often depends on marketing for success, and a poster printing company will have many ways to promote the activity. It will also be able to supply printed tickets, Flyers, and other materials for the occasion.

Empty Bowls Mercer County will be serving up support for the community on October 21. It will be taking place at the Hope Center for Arts and Technology.
