The Solon Blue Ribbon Adapted Recreation Program will hold an event in July that takes participants aboard the Goodtime 3.
Sail the Goodtime 3 is an activity where those with developmental disabilities can socialize with their peers while learning about landmarks along the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie. The cruise operates from Cleveland’s North Coast Inner Harbor and gives people a detailed look at the city’s history. The boat can hold up to 1,000 passengers and has four decks, including two sun decks and an air-conditioned glass-enclosed lower deck. Food and beverages can be bought on the ship.
The Goodtime 3 is a ship that was delivered to Cleveland in 1990. The original Goodtime vessel operated from 1924-1938 and was owned by the Cleveland and Buffalo Transit Company. The ship can be used for several activities aside from sightseeing tours, such as sunset cruises, happy hour sessions, and dinner buffets. People can also book the Goodtime 3 for occasions like weddings, conferences, proms, and class parties.
The sailing activity will take place on July 13th from 10:45 am to 3:00 pm. The cost to participate in the trip is $36 per person, and all guests must be at least 16. Attendees will be transported from the Solon Community Center to the ship. Organizations that offer group outings like this may use printing services to make advertisements for their activities.
