Solon will soon be hosting an annual event intended to showcase the importance of environmental conservation. This festival is open to all residents, and it also provides a host of educational opportunities suitable for the entire family.
Earth Day 2026 will serve two primary purposes. Firstly, it encourages guests to adopt a hands-on approach in terms of sustainability. Attendees are asked to bring a container so that they can pick up mulch at no charge. Additionally, hand-on exhibitions are open to all. These include a relaxing hike through the Solon Woods Nature Preserve. This guided tour will provide information about local flora and fauna, and also enable guests to collect wildflowers along the way.
Additional on-site activities include arts and crafts for children, interactive displays, and informational kiosks that offer cutting-edge suggestions to those who are interested to learn about how they can embrace a more sustainable lifestyle.

Solon will be hosting Earth Day 2026 on Saturday, April 25th. All events begin at 10 AM, and the event will conclude at 12 PM. Activities will be held within the Solon Community Gardens located at 6835 SOM Center Road. There is no charge to attend, and advance reservations are not required.
