Solon to hold health and wellness series

Solon residents can attend a multi-session presentation series for all ages that will be held at the local community center.

The Health, Wellness, and Disease Seminar Series with Dr. Gary Hoffman is a program offered by the Solon Recreation Department. Those who attend the presentations will learn important facts about their immune system and body from an experienced professor. Hoffman has experience working for the Cleveland Clinic and has written more than 350 articles. He was also a chair of the Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Diseases.

The seminar series will cover several fascinating topics, including the anatomy of illnesses, nervous system malfunctions, and how blood vessels work. Hoffman will also discuss how drugs get developed and look into the FDA’s effectiveness in protecting consumers from harmful drugs. Attendees of the series will even learn about kidneys, diabetes, and the gastrointestinal system. Each presentation will take place at the Solon Community Center Banquet Rooms.

The next presentation offered by Hoffman will be held on Monday, December 12 from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The topic of December’s lecture will be Arthritis - Can Occur at Any Age. There is no cost to attend Hoffman’s discussions, though all guests must register on Solon’s website in advance. Communities that hold informative activities such as this may use printing services to advertise their presentations to local consumers.
