Solon to give golfing lessons to minors

The Grantwood Golf Course in Solon will be offering two courses starting in July to teach children how to golf.

Little Linksters is a golf program offered by the Grantwood Golf Course that teaches kids ages four to six about the basics of the sport. The lessons are intended to introduce children to swing motion, proper stances, and posture. The class will also go over how to behave on the golf course properly.

The Junior Series is a similar course designed for children aged seven to ten who have only had surface-level exposure to the game of golf. The lessons will go over the basics of putting and chipping. No real golfing experience is necessary for the class, and equipment will be provided to students if needed.

The Grantwood Golf Course is a golfing facility open to those of all skill levels. Several amenities can be found at the venue, like a banquet hall, snack bar, and large shelter house. The course also has multiple golfing leagues, including a Girls' Golf League and Junior Golf League.

The Little Linksters will meet every Tuesday from July 5 to August 2, and each lesson will last from 4:00 pm to 4:50 pm. Participants in the Junior Series will meet every Saturday from July 9 to August 6. The classes in the series will be held from 10:00 am to 10:50 am. Golf lessons like this can be advertised to the public with flyer printing.
