The Solon Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library will be offering a program in November to teach parents about the importance of structure.
Behavior Chats: How Structure Can Prevent Meltdowns is a lesson that helps parents encourage positive behaviors in their kids. The program provides important advice on how to control and manage emotions in children aged between 18 months and six years old. Ochanya McRoberts-Wells will be leading the discussion and answering questions submitted by attendees. The course is only for an adult audience and will not be recorded for later viewing.
The Behavior Chats series is one of many educational programs created by the Connecting for Kids organization. The group aims to provide support to families who have concerns for their children. Other resources offered by the organization include hands-on training programs, Facebook support groups, and virtual podcasts. Groups such as this can share their beneficial programs with local parents by making distributable handouts with brochure printing services.
The lesson will be held in person on November 10 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Guests can also attend the program virtually. There is no price for the lecture, though all viewers must register. The course is only open to those who live in the Greater Cleveland Area. People can support Connecting for Kids by becoming a volunteer for the group or donating.
