Solon brewing company to give presentation

The Great Lakes Brewing Company will be visiting the Cuyahoga County Public Library's branch in Solon to give attendees an educational lesson.

This Is How We Brew It is a presentation where guests will get some insight into how the Great Lakes Brewing Company creates its beverages. The discussion will show people the process of turning malts and hops into different kinds of beer. The activity will be led by the company's education director Michael Williams. There is no age limit for the presentation. Libraries that host discussions similar to this may use Print shops to promote the event to other patrons.

The Great Lakes Brewing Company was founded in 1986 by Patrick and Daniel Conway in the Ohio City neighborhood. The business offers both public and private tours of the brewery where guests can sample some of the beers made at the venue. The company also has an education program taught by Cicerone-certified staff members. The college courses offered by the brewery are available in-person and online. People can also look up recipes that utilize beer on the company's website.

The brewing presentation will take place on Monday, December 6 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Registration for the library's program is required for all attendees, though there is no fee to sign up for the discussion. The brewery's presentation will have a limited number of spaces for guests.
