Empowering Epilepsy will be throwing a party at RollHouse Entertainment of Solon in March to support its mission.
The Purple Day® Bowling Party is an event where people can promote epilepsy awareness while enjoying a fun evening. The admission cost of the program will include two hours of unlimited bowling and all-you-can-eat pizza and wings. Shoe rentals will also be included in the admission price. There will be multiple timeslots for the event to allow participants to pick a session that works best for their schedule. Businesses interested in supporting the bowling event can become sponsors.
Empowering Epilepsy is a non-profit group founded in 2014 by people impacted by epilepsy who wanted more resources on the condition. The organization provides valuable information that can help epileptic individuals manage their seizures. The non-profit holds many events, like the NonEpileptic Seizure Conference and Empower Your Life Conference. The group also organizes activities such as Pottery Painting Parties.
The bowling party will take place on Thursday, March 23. The available sessions to bowl will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets to the party cost $20, though financial assistance will be given to those with epilepsy who need help paying for the event. Non-profit groups that hold awareness events like this may use flyer printing to share their causes with locals.
