Orchestra to give Solon family-friendly performance

The Solon Symphony will be holding a concert in August for families at the Solon Community Park.

Fans of live music can attend an outdoor concert performed by the Solon Symphony. The musicians will be playing classics from Disney and other family-friendly pieces. Guests must wear masks when they arrive, move around the park, and leave. The venue will also enforce social distancing policies. Attendees are allowed to bring personal chairs to the performance. Organizers for concerts similar to this can ensure people are aware of their safety regulations by using banner printing to advertise current rules.

The Solon Symphony is conducted by Laura Joss, an experienced professor who has worked with instrumentalists of all ages and skill levels. She has directed bands at the Liceo Experimental de Musica Copiapo in Copiapo, Chile during her travels to South America and coached music teachers at the Universidad of Chile. Joss earned the Outstanding Alumni Educator of the Year Award and was picked by the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation to be Master Teacher of the Year.

The performance will occur on Sunday, August 1st and will begin at 5:00 pm. The park will open to the public at 4:30 pm. Guests do not need to sign up for the event and can watch the orchestra for free. Those interested in supporting the Solon Symphony can donate to the group online.
