Autism organization to hold New Years event in Solon

Milestones Autism Resources will organize a "Noon" Years Eve Party at the Solon Community Center in December.

The "Noon" Year's Eve Party is a social event for teens and adults where friends can have a pre-New Year's Eve celebration. The activity will include music, dancing, and karaoke. There will also be a photo booth at the party and a balloon drop at noon. The organizer, Milestones Autism Resources, is an organization that started in 2003 to improve the lives of autistic individuals. Ilana Hoffer Skoff and Mia Buchwald Gelles are the co-founders of the organization.

The sponsor for the party is the Solon Blue Ribbon Adapted Recreation Program. The organization was created by the City of Solon to provide community-based leisure activities for those with developmental disabilities. Those who are not Solon residents are still allowed to take part in the program. Many activities are held by the group, such as Empower Sports Basketball, Artsy Paint Night, and the Rocky River Maple Sugaring Days.

The party will be held on December 31st from 11:00am to 12:30pm. The cost to take part in the celebration is $12 per person. Attendees can register at the Community Life Civic Rec website or the Solon Community Center Front Desk. Groups in charge of celebratory events like this may bring Promotional Products to hand out as party favors.
