Two musicals on the way to Medina

Medina County Show Biz Company is bringing a pair of musicals to local audiences, and giving kids a chance to try their hand at showbusiness in back-to-back performances.

There are 41 child actors in the cast, and they are rehearsing the two shows ‘We the People’ and ‘The Big Bad Musical’ at the same time.

Donna Bica, the production manager, said students from all over the county, including the Medina City Schools were cast. Bica said so many children turned out to audition it was decided to present two shows instead of one. She also noted that Medina County children love the arts, and are looking for ways to take part. Show Biz Company gives them an outlet for their interest in theater. They can also work with Fred Hargrove Young Artists or the Buckeye Community Theater.

‘The Big Bad Musical’ tells the story of the Big Bad Wolf's trial—that is the Wolf from ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. ‘We the People’ is a show based on the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution.

The performances are scheduled for April 20, 21 and 22 at the Haddad Theater, which is located in Medina, at the Medina County Administration Building on North Broadway. The shows are at 7:00pm this Thursday and Friday, and at 2:00pm and 7:00pm on Saturday. Tickets are $10.

Events like this can benefit if organizers work with a poster printing company, which can create colorful placards to advertise the show.
