Residents of Medina County Home enjoy a holiday treat

For the last 16 years, Melinda Clutter has organized a holiday program for residents of the Medina County Home, and that was again the case at the end of last month.

The most recent show was an hour long, and featured15acts, made up of students from the Medina and Buckeye school districts. Clutter recruits student performers from throughout the county to become part of the group, which this year ended the show with the classic ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’.

Clutter uses the same guiding principle each year: “We cater to things that they don't get,” in this case a show celebrating the holiday season.

Clutter and the group she leads, Medina Kids Care, perform at the home about six days per year, including Super Bowl Sunday and Memorial Day. They traditionally perform the holiday show the Wednesday following Thanksgiving, and this year, the audience filled up the room. This particular show is special because the students not only sing, but also provide gifts to the home's residents. This year, each resident was given a lighted decoration for their room.

The group tends to be a family affair. Melinda's son Mason Clutter took part, as did sisters Crosby and Carlee Lisser, Charis Thorsell and her son Ace, and Fiona and Lincoln Cooper, among others.

Events like this can be enhanced if organizers work with a Print company to design Holiday Cards specifically for the occasion.
