Medina to host tractor pull competition
The Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association (OSTPA) will hold a contest at the Medina County Fair in August.
The Medina County Fair Pull is an event where truck and tractor owners can compete in an arena and show off their vehicles. There will be five categories for the contest, including Two Wheel Drive Trucks, Limited Pro Diesel Trucks, and Pro Stock Tractors. Those interested in joining the tractor pull must pay for a Pro Pulling League Competition License and fill out an OSTPA Competitor Membership Form. The cost of submitting the membership is $150.
The OSTPA is an organization that has been coordinating tractor pull competitions for more than 60 years. The association is comprised of eight clubs from different parts of Ohio, such as the Scioto River Valley, Central Ohio, and North Central. The OSTPA is part of the Pro Pulling League and hosts events at venues like the Morrow County Fairgrounds and Trumbull County Fairgrounds. The current president of the association is Chad Taylor.
The pulling competition will be held on August 3rd and will begin at 7:00 pm. Those interested in sitting in the upper and lower sections of the venue’s grandstands can pay $12 per person. People can also pay $20 for a Pit-Pass Wristband. Associations that host competitions similar to this may create corporate gifts like trophies to use as prizes for their winners.
