Medina hosts Earth Day festival

Locals can celebrate Earth Day with Medina County, with various outdoor activities and green initiatives on offer this year.

The Buffalo Creek Retreat is home to multiple ponds and green spaces, making it a favorite destination for relaxing in nature in Medina. It will also be hosting the upcoming Earth Day Celebration.

For 29 years, the Media County Earth Day Festival has brought the community together to enjoy food, outdoor activities, and entertainment. This year, visitors can enjoy browsing the eco fair and market to find their new favorite local vendors. There will also be a bug zoo, house plant swap, and tree seedling giveaway.

Attendees can also visit the library bookmobile to find a new book to enjoy. For those looking to indulge in spring cleaning, the festival will offer an eyeglass collection and a clothing and textile drive so visitors can donate their unwanted items to a good cause. Festival attendees will also have the opportunity to enter a variety of raffles and enjoy food from one of the local food trucks.

Festival vendors often put a lot of effort into the design of their booths, and may invest in banner printing to display their company name on their booths proudly.

The festival will be on Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Buffalo Creek Retreat, 8708 Hubbard Valley Road, Seville. Additional event information can be found on the Visit Medina County website.
