Juneteenth celebration arrives in Medina

Medina families are proud of their community, something which is showcased at this upcoming festival.

Often considered the heart of the Medina community, the Medina Public Square Historic District is also a historic destination. The public square is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and often serves as the gathering place for the Medina community and hosts events throughout the year, including the Friday night band concerts and the 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration.

Over the past couple of years, the annual Medina Juneteenth celebration has become a highlight event for the community. This year's celebration will include a keynote by Danita Harris from Channel 3 WKYC's "Go!" Morning Show. The festival will also be emceed by Emmy-winning Kenny Crumpton from the Fox 8 News Morning Show. This family focused celebration will include a variety of live music and entertainment, such as a Motown jazz band and a children's choir from Uganda, the Sanyuka Children's Choir. The Medina Juneteenth celebration is also focused on showcasing local talents and will include a variety of sponsors from local businesses and performances from local entertainers and artists throughout the event.

Events like Juneteenth often have a dual focus to both entertain and educate attendees. Brochure printing is utilized to provide additional information and resources for those who wish to further their knowledge or support after the event.

Medina's 4th Annual Juneteenth Celebration is scheduled for June 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The event will be held at the Medina Public Square Historic District, located at 39 Public Square, Suite 305, Medina. For more information about the festival, please visit the event's website.
