Harpist to perform for Medina cemetery organization

The Friends of the Cemetery in Medina will hold a concert in December that features Courtney Kania Young.

The Holiday Concert in the Chapel is a seasonal event where members of The Friends of the Cemetery can enjoy a live musical performance. This year’s featured performer is Courtney Kania Young, a singer, songwriter, and harpist who has been performing since 2006. She has played for many notable organizations, such as the Hospice of Western Reserve and the American Cancer Society. Her music has also been featured on television shows like The Bachelorette.

The Friends of the Cemetery is an organization that formed in 1997 to maintain the Spring Grove and Old Town’s graveyards. The group has worked on several projects, including the Pat Mears Memorial Garden, the Spring Grove Storage Canopy, and the Soldiers’ Mound perennial garden. Members of the organization help with tasks like restoring stone buildings, improving cemetery fencing, and constructing walls.

The holiday harm concert will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. There is no cost for members of the organization to attend the performance. Those interested in becoming part of The Friends of the Cemetery can pay $15 for an individual membership and $25 for a family membership. Organizations that host exclusive activities like this may use flyer printing to create distributable advertisements for their members.
