Family festival returns to Medina

The 2021 Medina Fest will be held next month, bringing local businesses and the community together for a day of fun for residents of all ages.

The annual festival returns this year with live music and entertainment, ample food trucks and concession booths, local small business retailers, and arts and crafts vendors. Akron Children’s Museum will provide plenty of activities for the children. Non-profit and social service providers within the community will distribute free information to festivalgoers.

Live entertainment at the festival will include the Medina Marching Bees performing from 9:00 to 9:30 AM, followed by the Found Sounds Steel Band Trio from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, and the Michael Eric Schirch Jazz Combo from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The afternoon will feature a Latin jazz performance by Victor Samalot from 12:30 to 2:00 PM, and fiddle and folk music performed by Down the Road from 2:30 to 4:00 PM.

Food and vendor applications may still be submitted for this event. All vendors must have the appropriate permits, and be self-contained, providing their own tents, electricity, and supplies. Vendors may sell merchandise and distribute any Promotional Products appropriate in a family setting, but resale or mail order products will not be accepted. Applications are available on the Main Street Medina website.

Medina Fest 2021 will be held on Saturday, August 28 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Medina Square, located at 2 Public Square. The event is free to attend, and parking is free throughout the downtown area.
