Cultural outreach organization to host event in Medina

Ohio Regional Music Arts Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) will be organizing an anniversary dinner in November at Williams on the Lake in Medina.

The ORMACO Annual Dinner is an activity where the community can celebrate the organization while enjoying live entertainment. The event will be commemorating the group’s 13th anniversary. The special guest performer for the dinner is Moises Borges, a guitarist and vocalist from Cleveland who was originally born in Bahia, Brazil. Borges will play samba and bossa nova music during the event. He has performed at many notable locations, including Cleveland’s Playhouse Square and Severance Hall.

ORMACO is a nonprofit organization that was started in 2010. The mission of the group is to make music, arts, and culture more accessible to the community through educational outreach programs and workshops. A few events organized by the nonprofit include Jazz (and Opera) Under the Stars, the Wadsworth Library concert series, and round-trip excursions to Playhouse Square. Thomas Sigel is the founder and executive director of the organization.

The anniversary dinner will be held on Wednesday, November 15th and will begin at 6:00pm. Those interested in attending the event can pay $50 for a ticket. There are only 100 seats available at the venue, so guests must book in advance. Cultural organizations like this may use poster printing to make local ads that ensure their events are seen by more people.
