Medina has a thriving art scene, supported with a diverse range of activities and events, including Art in the Park - a regional favorite upcoming event.
If one is to believe local folklore, Medina Public Square has been a part of the community since the founding of the county. The founders raised the flag in what today is the public square in 1818. This historic location has since become a popular location for Medina events, and it will be the venue for next month's Art in the Park show.
Over the past 50 years, Art in the Park has become a favorite way to support Medina artists and discover new artists. Event attendees range from art aficionados looking for a new, unique piece to add to their collection to those looking for a fun day out. The 2025 Art in Park will feature over 100 Medina artists, Medina vendors' food, and music. Artwork presented at the event features a diverse range of mediums and includes fabric art, paint work, photography, and handcrafted jewelry. There is also a possibility to win artwork from some of the popular artists by stopping by the scholarship tent, and proceeds will go toward the future Medina artists.
Aspiring professional artists use local events like Medina's Art in the Park as a way to both build connections and sell their artwork. The contact and exposure made at these yearly events can go a long way towards the development of their career and is the reason that many invest in Business Cards or Flyers to have at hand for the event.
This year's Art in the Park will be on July 20th, 2025, with the artists on display between the hours of 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. The event will occur rain or shine and additional information is available on the Medina County website.
