The Medina County Pizza Palooza returns next month, featuring not only pizza, but also public support for social services offered in the community.
Each year, popular pizzerias in Medina compete for the People’s Choice and Judge’s Choice awards for best pizza pie in the city. The 2021 contest participants will include Ohio Valley Pizza Company, Dominic’s Pizza, Master Pizza, Domino’s Pizza and Marco’s Pizza. All judges and attendees are asked to cast their vote for their favorite slice.
While attendees partake in the pizza tasting, they are encouraged to tour the more than 60 non-profit organizations and social service tables set up in the downtown core. Participants will learn about the valuable work being done, and the volunteer opportunities that exist, throughout the city.
Non-profits and social services on site will include the Alzheimer’s Association, the Children's Center of Medina County, Easter Seals of Northern Ohio, Friends of Medina County Parks, Medina County Health Department, Medina County District Library, The Salvation Army, and the United Way of Medina County. Charitable associations often use brochure printing as a way of communicating their goals, and volunteer positions.
The 2021 Pizza Palooza is presented by a specialty sealants and coatings company located in Medina, called RPM International Incorporated. Additional support will be provided by Main Street Medina, Feeding Medina County, and the United Way of Summit and Medina County.
The event will be held on Saturday June 19 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, in downtown Medina. Admission costs $8 per person, with free parking available.
