Colerain historical organization to hold raffle

Colerain locals are invited to participate in a raffle in early December held by the Coleraine Historical Society.

The 2023 Basket Raffle is an event where people can support a local organization and win prizes donated by members of the community. The proceeds from the fundraiser will help the Coleraine Historical Society purchase a new waterproof archival storage to use at its museum. There are 13 themed baskets for people to win, such as Not a Day over Fabulous, Special Occasion Bourbon, and Cincinnati Favorites. People may also win a lithograph signed by Noel Daggett.

The Coleraine Historical Society is an organization that wants to connect Colerain’s residents to the town’s past to help create a better future. The group was created by Ruth Wells in 1964. She served on the organization’s first board of management alongside Lloyd Becker, Ruth Moore, and George Coon. People who want to join the historic nonprofit organization pay $20 per year for an individual membership or $250 for a lifetime membership.

The basket raffle will take place on Tuesday, December 5. Those interested in the fundraiser can purchase tickets until next Thursday, November 30. The tickets must be purchased at a Coleraine Historical Society event. People can buy tickets for $5 each or in bundles of three for $12. Organizations that host raffles such as this can use flyer printing to let the community know about their fundraisers.
