Avon Lake to offer home safety training
Safe Sitter® will hold a program on home safety in December at the Heart of Steele building in Avon Lake.
Safe@Home by Safe Sitter is a course that teaches students how to create a secure home environment. The class focuses on information that helps middle schoolers stay safe at home when left alone. The instructors will go over topics such as personal safety and emergency preparedness. Students will also learn what to do during power failures and weather-related emergencies. Those who sign up for the course must purchase a Safe@Home booklet for $15.
