Avon Lake to hold beer-themed festival
The Avon Lake Athletic Boosters (ALAB) will organize a beer fest in August at Miller Road Park to support local athletic programs.
The ALAB Avon Lake Beer Fest is an event that invites those of legal drinking age to enjoy beer samples from local breweries while listening to live performances and browsing food trucks. Attendees can rent out 10' x 10' tents during the festival to have a private gathering space for their groups. Each person in the tent rental will receive a commemorative growler, 12 tasting tickets, and a tasting glass. Companies can reserve a 10' x 20 tent to hold gatherings for up to 16 people.
The ALAB is an organization that helps raise money for Avon Lake High School and Learwood's athletic programs. The group offers athletic scholarships to graduating senior athletes with parents in the ALAB. People who become members of the boosters can vote during the organization's monthly meetings and may request funding for a specific athletic team's needs. The cost of joining the group ranges from $20 to $500.
The beer festival will be on Saturday, August 24th from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Tickets to the festival will cost $40 per person. There are non-alcoholic passes available for $25. Guests may bring chairs to Miller Road Park, though no outside food or beverages are allowed.
