Avon Lake library to hold Taylor Swift-themed party
The Avon Lake Public Library (ALPL) will organize a Taylor Swift party in February to kick a month-long event.
Swiftie Saturday is a party where fans of Taylor Swift can meet with other people who like the famous singer. The event is part of the library's “February Rocks at ALPL” program. There will be many Taylor Swift-themed activities at the party, such as participating in a costume contest, making friendship bracelets, and Taylor Trivia competitions. Guests can take pictures at the library's photo op area, and attendees will get to listen to music performed by pop megastar.
“February Rocks at ALPL” is a month-long experience that is comprised of several music-themed presentations and activities. Several special guests will visit the library to cover topics like the Beatles' Appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show and rock star photography. The presenters include Steve Madonna, John Gorman, and Janet Macoska. Library patrons can also enjoy viewing artwork from Tom Hemsath's Rock Musicians in Black and White collection.
Swiftie Saturday will be held in the Waugaman Gallery on February 3rd. The party will last from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. No registration is needed for patrons to attend the celebration, and all ages are welcome to the fan meetup. The trivia contest will begin at 2:00pm. Libraries hosting parties for fandoms like this may use poster printing to share their celebrations with patrons.
