Patchogue workshop to teach inking basics

Scrapbooking Stuff in Patchogue will host the Inking Basics 101 class next month for those interested in learning how to utilize inks and ink stamps in their artwork.

Due to popular demand, the Scrapbooking Stuff shop will host a class for people who are new to the process of inking and may not know what to do with the inking tools and stamps they have. The multi-hour class will introduce the basics of inking, including what paper to use, the different types of inks, and how to maximize investment in inkpads.

The class will not be a traditional “making” class but will instead be a “learning” class that is part instructional, part practice. Students will not make any cards but will use sample paper to practice the techniques that have been demonstrated by the instructor. Participants are encouraged to bring pen and paper to take notes on. A few basic supplies and tools will be provided, but attendees will be required to bring their own silicone non-stick craft mat.

Paper crafting classes such as this may require students to bring their own supplies, which they can stock up on at local stationery printers.

The inking class is scheduled for Saturday, February 11 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. It will take place at 49 Rider Avenue, Patchogue. The class registration fee is $65.
