Patchogue to hold crowdfunded art and music festival
Patchogue will invite the Long Island community next month to partake in the area’s first crowdfunded art and music festival, called the Pine Barrens Jam.
The festival will take place at Blue Point Brewing & Brewpub and will feature three stages for music, art, and poetry exhibitions. The event will be made possible by the volunteer efforts of local creatives, entertainers, and businesses, which means that all entertainment and activities will be worked on and performed by community members.
The three stages include the Jelly Jam Stage, the Travis McKeveny Singer-Songwriter Stage, and the Peanut Butter Poetry Stage. The Jelly Jam Stage will feature musicians such as The Chris Ruben Band, The Logan Whaley Band, and Hilltop. The Travis McKeveny Stage will feature singer-song writers such as Sarah Gross, Tom Moran, and Nico Padden. The Peanut Butter Poetry Stage will feature poetry from Melissa Marie, Justin Vegh, Liv Mammone, and many more talented poets. There will also be a kiddie corner offering kid-friendly music and activities.
Festival organizers often find that flyer advertising is an effective way to boost visibility of such events and may decide to use local flyer printing services.
The festival is scheduled for Saturday, August 20 from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Blue Point Brewing is located on 225 West Main Street, Patchogue. Tickets range from $20 to $65.
