Patchogue to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, The Greater Patchogue Chamber’s Latino Leadership Council will host Patchogue's 4th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration.
The Latino Leadership Council (LLC) was formed by Javier Kinghorn to enrich and engage the growing Latino community in Patchogue, a group that makes up over 30% of Patchogue’s population. The LLC frequently hosts events and activities to unite the Latino community and educate the public about Hispanic heritage and culture.
The heritage celebration will invite the whole community to enjoy immersive performances at the Patchogue Theatre. Attendees will enjoy salsa and cumbia performances, along with percussion music. There will also be energetic, creative dance routines highlighting important cultural aspects of countries throughout Latin America. The performances will feature La Elegancia de la Salsa, Sol y Sombra, and many more popular bands.
The specifics of theater-related festivals are frequently advertised on visually appealing posters, which may bring an influx of business to shops specializing in poster printing.
Patchogue’s Hispanic Heritage event will take place on Saturday, September 17. Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally runs from September 15 through October 15. The Patchogue Theatre is located on 71 East Main Street. The celebration is free of charge to the public, but those interested will need to secure their free tickets in advance. There will also be a six-ticket minimum per person.
