Patchogue runs the Suffolk County 2018 Marathon
Runners here in Patchogue are getting in shape to run the upcoming Suffolk County 2018 Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5k Run/Walk, or Marathon Relay.
The marathon course will be a flat 26.2 miles with long straightaways starting in Patchogue Village, taking runners along the Suffolk County’s South Shore through unique downtowns and ending back in downtown Patchogue. Live entertainment and spectator gatherings will keep runners motivated.
Many spectators at events such as these like to get some banner printing done before the race to have something to wave to show their support for their favorite runners.
All finishers will get medals and the top ten finishers –male and female – in all three races will receive awards. Awards will also go to the top three female and male vets, U.S active armed service members, Athena (female 140lbs and over) and Clydesdale (men 185 to 199lbs) divisions and in the 17 age categories.
After the race participants, can go over to Freedom Fest: Taste of Long Island Festival and Street Fair. This will be a chance to enjoy many Suffolk County food and beverages from onsite food trucks. Some local businesses will be selling their products and services while others will be distributing promotional products and business cards.
The Marathon is scheduled for October 28 starting at 8:00 am on Long Island’s South Shore in Patchogue Village.
