Patchogue runners/walkers and kids will be getting ready for the upcoming Hope House 5K Run/Walk to End Addiction.
Preregistration will be $27 and registration on race day will go up to $33 for the 5K. The Kids Fun Run will cost $5. T-Shirts with the event’s graphic design will be guaranteed to those participants that sign up before May 9. After the race, runners will be treated to refreshments and there will be a awards ceremony after the race.
Pre-race packets can be picked up from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, May 17, at Sayville Running Company, 100 Main Street, Sayville. Strong Island Running Club will be in charge of the scoring.
For both males and females, awards will be given to the top finishers in the 5K, and to the top three finishers in 13 age divisions.
The 5K Run/Walk to End Addiction will be Saturday, May 18 at Shore Front Park. Shore Front Park is at 1 Smith Street at Rider Avenue’s south end.
Check-in and registration will begin at 7:30 am. The Kids Fun Run registration and check-in will close at 8:15 am and the 5K registration and check-in will close at 8:30 am. The kids’ run will start at 8:30 am and end around 9:00 am. The 5K will begin at 9:00 am and wind up around 11:00 am.
