Patchogue has lively winter schedule
Patchogue does not slow down after the New Year, as many events are being planned for the upcoming weeks.
A free winter concert will be held at the Musicology Performance Center at the 89 North Music Venue, 89 North Ocean Avenue this Sunday, January 20.
Doors open at 1:00 pm, and the schedule will be a jazz ensemble at 1:30 pm, a tribute to Kid Rock at 2:15 pm, a Mash Up Show at 3:00 pm. At 3:45 there will be a vocal ensemble and at 4:30 pm a faceoff between the music of Avenged Sevenfold and Guns ‘N Roses.
The Hudson Vagabond life-size puppets will be giving two performances of the Snow Queen. The children‘s theatrical production will also include live dancers and actors. Fans may wish to do some flyer printing for this group and place flyers in family-oriented businesses, organizations and schools.
The puppets will be onstage for two performances at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, 71 East Main Street, also on Sunday, January 20. Performance times will be 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.
For a touch of the Caribbean, the Havana Cuba All Stars will be bringing a Fiesta Cubana of dancers and musicians to Patchogue. Music will range from rumba to cha-cha melodies and rhythms, and dancing from salsa to Cuban.
