Patchogue goes to Mardi Gras


Three events during the next few weeks are gearing up for Mardi Gras.









At 89 North Music Venue, 89 N. Ocean Avenue, on March 2nd the Smile Mardi Gras Bash will be a benefit concert and party to benefit SMILE, a non-profit organization that aids local people having developmental or intellectual disabilities. The concert will be put on by Vinyl Revival and 45 RPM. General admission will be $35 and VIP tickets will run to $50.





Two Mardi Gras parties are scheduled for March 5th. The first will be a Fat Tuesday Party at Bobbique. Guest chef Coleen McGrath will be creating the evening’s Mardi Gras-themed menu. Entertainment for the evening will be Kerry Kearney along with The Gumbo and the Po Boys. Bobbique is at 70 W. Main Street. The Mardi Gras menu will be available starting at 5:30 pm with music beginning at 7 pm.





The Rolling Stone Foundation which supports adoptions of special needs children will be holding its 5th Annual Mardi Gras event. The evening will be replete with free food, masks, beads, prizes raffles and the famous New Orleans Hurricane Cocktail. The special cocktails will be served in souvenir glasses sporting the event’s logo design. The $20 admission ticket will include a light repast and a $15 gift certificate to be used at That Meetball Place! at a later date. This Mardi Gras Party will begin at 6:30 at That Meetball Place Patchogue at 54 W. Main.
