Patchogue brewery to shake up Main Street
Next month, Blue Point Brewing Company in Patchogue will hold the Blue Point's Shakedown on Main Street, a beer and music festival with all manner of good vibes.
Blue Points Brewery, now a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev, is located in Long Island and serves up crushable beers and several seasonal brews. Though a small brewery, it also has a tasting room open to the public six days a week. It frequently hosts community events themed around beer, such as this one.
The festival will feature craft beer and food trucks will be on hand, with the star of the food show being hefty grilled cheeses. For entertainment, there will be several musical acts with a headline performance by West Coast surf rock group The Expendables. A market of 40-plus artisans offering handcrafted wares, artwork, and snacks will also be set up. Other activities include live glass-blowing demonstrations in The Garden and a skating demonstration.
