Kwasi Enin, star pupil at William Floyd High School just 10 miles from Patchogue, faced this incredible situation as he studied viewbooks and Brochures from the various colleges, and contemplated the campuses he had visited, before eventually opting for Yale. Enin’s parents emigrated from Ghana to New York in the 1980s and both work as nurses, so it is little surprise that he wants plans to pursue a career in the medical field as well.
It was Enin’s passion for music, however, that was the subject of his application essay to Yale. When he discussed his visit to the New Haven campus, he cited the other students’ passion for music, both critical and appreciative, as one of the factors in making his decision.
Enin plays both violin and bass, and also sings in his high school’s a capella group. He said:
“I directly developed my capacity to think creatively around problems due to the infinite possibilities in music.”
Enin is ranked in the top 2% in his graduating class at William Floyd, and scored 2250 out of a potential 2400 points on his SAT, giving his school plenty to boast about through services like banner printing.Get a Free Quote for Brochures
