Patchogue Johnny Cash fans should note that the tribute band Walking the Line will perform the Johnny Cash & June Carter Tribute Christmas Show next month.
Walking the Line is an award-winning Johnny Cash tribute band headlined by Thomas Michael Cavanagh, who plays the role of Cash. Cavanagh’s appearance, mannerisms, and voice not only mimic Cash’s unique persona but exemplify them on stage. The seven-piece band also includes three of Long Island’s most talented singers playing the three Carter Sisters.
The Christmas Show in Patchogue will feature both beloved hit songs and little-heard gems of Cash’s musical career. These shows are not only tribute concerts, but they are also musical journeys that have been compared to Broadway productions because of the dedication to every detail, including period-accurate microphones and instruments, as well as vintage costumes. The hope is that the audience will feel as if they were watching an authentic Johnny Cash performance.
