Annual car show and swap in Patchogue

Vintage car fans should note that the Long Island Street Rod Association Annual Car Show and Swap Meet will happen in Patchogue next month.

Founded in 1965, the Long Island Street Rod Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the principles of street rodding and street cars, as well as promoting wider interest in the hobby. Every year, the organization hosts a spring and fall car show and swap meet where association members and the general public can gather to showcase their vehicles.

The upcoming fall show is open to all American cars from the year 1990 and older, including muscle, custom, classic, antique, and special interest cars. The first 100 cars to register will receive a free T-shirt with the event’s logo design. The show will also feature craft vendors, live music, and a raffle. No pets or alcohol allowed.

The Long Island Street Rod Association Annual Car Show and Swap Meet is slated for October 10 and will take place at the Hagerman Fire District on 510 Oakdale Avenue, East Patchogue. Show times will be from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Registration for car and driver will be $15, while admission for spectators will be $8. A portion of the proceeds raised will go towards supporting the scholarship program for the Suffolk County Community College.
