Agave festival helps Patchogue explore spirits
Patchogue residents looking to take a deeper dive into the spirits derived from agave will count themselves lucky, as a festival is coming to town.
The Agave Festival, organized by the New York Cocktail Expo, will open its doors and begin welcoming ticket holders and interested parties next month for an immersive and educational experience. The event will combine tacos with tequila to bring new flavors to attendees who want to take a deeper dive into Mexican culture.
The tequila exhibitors at the event will compete in the Official Agave Spirits Awards to determine the best distilleries and products. Participating distilleries include ArteNOM Tequila, Casa Elemental Tequila, Fosforo Mezcal, and Cazcanes Tequila.
Attendees will sample the different spirit options and vote on their favorites to help determine the winners. Promotional products are an excellent way for distilleries and other vendors at such festivals to make impressions and gain new customers.
Interested parties can choose from two sessions, and VIP ticket packages are available for early access to the venue. Diego Livera of The Cabinet NYC will serve as the executive judge, assisted by members of the NY/NJ Agave club.
The award-winning Ruta Oaxaca Mexican Cuisine restaurant in Patchogue will host the festival, scheduled for Sunday, June 22nd, from 12:30 to 6:00 PM. General admission tickets cost $39.19, and VIP packages start at $49.87 online.
