Zumba fundraiser brings fitness to Levittown area

An exercise experience is stopping in the Levittown area next month, and residents are invited to attend, work up a sweat, and support a good cause.

The 2nd Annual Angiosarcoma Zumba Fundraiser is set to begin in a few weeks, and Zumba enthusiasts will have an opportunity to play a part in the event’s fight to end angiosarcoma. The event will feature 12 different Zumba instructors with various styles. In addition to the instructors, the event will feature a live DJ providing music to dance to.

Attendees should dress in a way that allows for athletic movements. All ticket sales will be donated to the Andrew C. DeMarco Foundation to honor his fight with angiosarcoma and to work toward research to treat and support individuals affected by the disease. Poster printing is a powerful way to spread awareness of events and causes like this.

In addition to dancing and music, the fundraiser will include a raffle. Guests can donate baskets to be given away to winners to raise more money for cancer research.

Plainedge High School will host the Zumba dancing event on Saturday, March 9, with the doors opening at 1:30 PM and ending at 3:30 PM. General admission tickets cost $20 per person. Interested parties can reserve a spot online by heading to the Eventbrite listing.
