Community walk supports cancer research near Levittown

Levittown residents seeking a way to support cancer patients and research a cure should note that a community walk is being organized nearby.

The 4th Annual “Walking Life in Pink,” an event organized by Betty’s Breast Cancer Foundation, is just a few weeks away, and area residents who want to support loved ones who have faced battles with the disease are invited to join. The event is designed to help the community celebrate the best aspects of life while offering hope to those battling the disease.

Interested parties are asked to wear pink as a sign of solidarity and a tribute to those who lost their battle with breast cancer. Those who attend will walk alongside survivors and their family members. It is an effective way to make a difference in the community.

Flyer printing can help organizers spread the word and raise awareness of such events, increasing funds and uniting residents. Guests who walk can also help raise awareness of the symptoms of breast cancer in the Levittown area, leading others toward early detection and identifying the most effective treatment options for the disease.

Participants in the walk will meet at Field 5 in Eisenhower Park, located in nearby East Meadow. The walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 4 at 9:00 AM. Tickets cost $44.52 per person online.
