Levittown residents seeking a good cause to support this summer will want to make a note in their diaries, as a fundraiser focused on improving vision is stopping in town.
The Eyes on the Future fundraiser, presented by Britt and Kris Graham, is scheduled to bring Levittown and the surrounding communities together to support ocular research at the end of this month. The purpose of the fundraiser is to use the money raised to brighten lives and help those in need to enhance their vision.
The fundraiser was inspired by the organizers’ daughter, Avery, whose diagnosis placed a 20% likelihood of not being able to determine the cause of a genetic eye disease. The fundraiser aims to support the research necessary to discover the last 20% for patients experiencing similar challenges with their vision. The in-person experience will provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where guests can participate in games, raffles, and competitions. Guests will enjoy access to an open bar, and a buffet will provide the food options.
The ocular fundraiser will be held at Mulcahy’s in nearby Wantagh on Sunday, July 27, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interested parties can reserve their tickets for $44.52 online.
