The Long Island Road Runners Club (LIRRC) is hosting a 10K run.
The Levittown run comes with two options – an in-person run or a virtual run. LIRRC is working with EliteFeats to provide bibs with printed Logo Design. All runners participating in the in-person race will receive a bib.
Anyone running in the in-person race will receive a personalized race number by September 19. If a runner decides to participate in the virtual 10K, this can be done whenever and wherever. After the run is completed, go to elitefeats.com/Results and click on the Columbus Day 10K race event. Participants can then enter their name and time for the completed run, and even upload photos. Please note that virtual runs may not include a bib, shirt, or medal.
There are three categories of awards: top three male and female overall and for various age groups. In addition to the race, there will be amenities and raffles at the event.
The LIRRC 10K Race will take place over Columbus Day Weekend on Monday, October 12 at the Eisenhower Park. The race begins at 8:30 am and registration opens at 7:30 am. The cost for the race for non-members is $15, while admission for LIRRC members is $10. Active military personnel can participate free of charge.
