Shimmering Solstice, a special light show event, will happen at the Old Westbury Gardens next month. The exhibit is open to the public, and anyone from Westbury and nearby cities like Levittown are welcome to attend.
The exhibit is made by the Lightswitch, a group of renowned light and visual design experts. It will decorate the garden’s paths, running through the Walled Garden, Rose Garden, and the South Lawn and Allee. As visitors reach the end of the show, it will conclude with a finale that lights up the Westbury House.
Visitors can expect about a mile-long walk overall.
While at the garden, guests can also take the chance to enjoy a festive meal provided by Long Island Lessing Hospitality Group. Organizers are also planning a gift shop, where merchandise and other goods can be purchased. These items are usually made with the help of local Print shops and are a good opportunity for guests to remember their visit with.
Shimmering Solstice will open on November 20th and will run until January 9th. Tickets are $32.95 for adults and $17.95 for children between 3 and 17 during peak times. For off-peak times, prices are reduced to $29.95 and $16.95 for adults and children respectively. Locals can find the Old Westbury Gardens at 71 Old Westbury Road.
