Library in Levittown to feature successful Irish author

The Levittown Public Library in New York will be giving the community a chance to meet the author Tom Phelan this March.

Throughout the year, the Levittown Public Library brings in different writers as part of their Meet the Author series, with Tom Phelan being the designated writer for March. Phelan has written multiple Books, including Lies the Mushroom Pickers Told, Nailer, and The Canal Bridge.

The author was born and raised on a small farm in Ireland but now lives in New York on Long Island. Despite his many novels, Phelan was not published until the age of 50, when the Lilliput Press chose his breakout book ‘In the Season of the Daisies’.

He has also published articles on many newspapers, like the Irish Echo, Newsday, and the Irish Independent. Phelan describes his childhood and the experiences he had while working on the farm in his pieces. His recent memoir, in addition to the rest of his Promotional Products, is now available on Amazon.

The Meet the Author series will be held on March 18, starting at 7:00 pm. The event is free to attend, and guests who come will have the chance to purchase Phelan’s new memoir to get them signed. During the meeting, Phelan will provide insight regarding his latest release. Light refreshments will be served for the event.
