Fans of locomotives can soon attend an open house hosted by the Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers (NLOE) in Levittown.
Those interested in viewing this train display can join the NLOE for their open house event. The layout created by the NLOE has several lines operating on three different levels, with features such as multiple passenger stations, a harbor, operating turntable, and several freight yards. The group also has an online store where people can purchase limited-edition Club Cars. Organizations that have websites like this often use Logo Design services to create recognizable symbols to place on their merchandise.
The NLOE was initially started in 1983 and operated out of the Medical Arts Building in Levittown. The club ended up building the largest O-Gauge model railroads in the US, while also hosting holiday shows for the community. The group was forced to move from their original building, but has since found a new location and has grown to more than 40 members. One of the goals of the NLOE is to create a layout that is twice the size of their original creation.
The NLOE will be hosting their open house on Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th. Visitors can view the club’s display from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The organization is currently located in the basement of 2953 Hempstead Tpk. Those who are in wheelchairs will be unable to access the display.
