Robert Hepworth, aka The ‘Buca’ Barbarian, is getting ready to step into the ring for the Long Island Fight for Charity 15th Main event.
Hepworth is from Levittown and is currently a partner at Unique Contracting 1 in Hicksville. He is one of several volunteer boxers who will be taking part in the fundraising event on November 19. The match will take place at the Hilton Hotel Long Island, in Melville.
It has been described as one of the most anticipated and largest charity networking events to take place, and is also the only event in the US to feature volunteer boxers duking it out for charity. Along with Hepworth, a number of other local business owners and professionals will face off in the ring during the event.
Organizers of charity events can use poster printing to spread the word and let people know the details of the programming.
The boxing match raises money for several local organizations, including the Genesis School, Long Island Community Chest, and the National Foundation for Human Potential. Since the first match in 2003, more than $1m has been donated to area charities.
Along with several rounds of boxing, the Fight for Charity will also have food and drink available. The refreshments are provided by area restaurants.
Tickets for the match are available online. General admission tickets cost $135 while VIP tickets, which include reserved seating, are $250.
