A tradition in cities and towns across the U.S., Restaurant Week is giving diners a chance to try a new dining spot or revisit an old favorite, for a wallet-friendly price.
This week, people in Levittown will be able to take advantage of restaurant week in neighboring Farmingdale. Although prix-fixe Menus for a set price are common during restaurant weeks, the Farmingdale variety is a little different from the norm.
Participating restaurants also have the freedom of setting their own prices for the week, and of choosing how many courses to offer. Some restaurants, such as Caracara Mexican Grill, Chichimeca's, and Library Cafe, are offering a three-course dinner option, with prices ranging from $19.95 to $25.95 per person, not including tax, tip, or beverages. The Original Cascarino's is offering a four-course meal for $24.95 per person.
Several restaurants, such as Tre Scalini and Croxley's, are keeping their Restaurant Week specials under wraps, instructing diners to ask upon arrival for the nightly offerings. Others, such as Cheeburger Cheeburger, are offering special ‘buy one, get one’ deals during the week. The organizers of Restaurant Week are likely to have used flyer printing so that diners can see at a glance what deals are on offer at which restaurants.
Reservations are recommended, as tables usually fill up quickly during the week, which comes to an end this Sunday, October 18. Diners can make reservations through the Restaurant Week website or by calling the restaurants individually.
