The Lustgarten Foundation will hold its annual “Long Island Walk for Pancreatic Cancer Research” next month. The event will take place next month near Wantagh, and locals from Levittown can also participate.
The Lustgarten Foundation is an organization dedicated to pancreatic cancer research. It believes further research will allow the disease to be curable. To further this cause, the foundation holds several fundraisers throughout the year.
This upcoming walk is one of many fundraising events the foundation organizes. Residents from around Long Island are encouraged to register and start donating or fundraising to help combat pancreatic cancer. The goal for this year’s walk is $1,000,000, all of which will go towards research. To help support the fundraiser further, organizers recommend sharing the event’s purpose through social media.
The event will finish with a walk along Jones Beach State Park Field #5. To show support, participants can bring Signs and other materials related to the event. These items can be accessed with the help of printing services. If participants cannot make the trip, they can plan a walk in their neighbourhood park. Lustgarten has tips online to help with this process.
The walk will take place on October 3 at 10:00 AM. Check-in to the event will begin at 8:30 AM. Participants can find the event location at 1 Ocean Parkway.
