In the spring, the Nassau BOCES will recognize the contributions of several administrators at Levittown Public Schools. The staff members will receive the 2018 Education Partner Awards during a gala event in April.
The award focuses on those who dedicate their life's work to education, but take a more behind-the-scenes approach, ensuring their contributions are not overlooked even if their work is rarely in the public eye.
Organizations that are awarding the dedication and hard work of others often use Stationery printers to create certificates and other documents in their honor. In the case of Nassau BOCES, the organization will be giving awards to 15 area educators and administrators, including members of its own staff.
Three members of the administrative team at Levittown Public Schools will be recognized. Dr. Tonie McDonald, the superintendent of schools, will receive the Education Partners Award.
Peggy Marenghi, the president of the board of education for Levittown, will be given the School Board Member Award. The third person from Levittown, Teresa Scaturro, will be given the Nassau BOCES employee award. Scatturo is the board secretary for Nassau BOCES Board of Education and the executive assistant for the Nassau BOCES District Superintendent.
The gala event is scheduled for April 11. The event is sponsored by Nassau BOCES, which is a community-based, independent organization. The aim of the group is to improve educational opportunities for students.
