Nearby Bethpage’s “Polo at the Park” series will continue into August. The series takes place weekly, and Levittown residents are welcome to join.
Polo is a horseback sport where two teams compete to score points by sending a wooden ball through the other team’s goalposts. Each team has four players, and they each use a mallet-like handle to hit the ball while on horseback.
At “Polo at the Park,” guests can watch polo tournaments organized by the Meadowbrook Polo Club. These matches feature world-famous players, and attendees are encouraged to cheer from the sidelines. The venue is also an ideal place to host parties and other group activities. The polo grounds provide ample space for groups to come together and spend time during the weekend.
Guests can expect more match details on the days the event takes place. Brochure printing is often used to provide information on teams competing during any given tournament day.
The series will take place throughout August, on the Saturday of each week. Gates to the venue open at 2:00 PM, and matches start at 3:00 PM. Tickets for general admission start at $25. Entry for children between 8 and 15 is $10, and senior citizens, college students, and active military can attend for $10. The venue for the event is the Bethpage Polo Field located in Bethpage State Park.
